The Clawson Lions Club's 28th "Down on Main Street" Charity Car Show nailed it again! Preserving over a quarter century Motor City tradition of showing off monster rides a week before the world famous Dream Cruise, the Show hosted over 375 vehicles and more than 6,000 visitors. The sun kept the paint and chrome blazing all day. When the judging was finally over, more than 250 trophies and other awards found new homes with lucky owners.

We want to thank all of the business and individual sponsors who make this event such a success. Without their unwavering support over the past 27 years, we couldn't pull an event like this off. Their generous support helps us cover the costs of putting on one of the biggest car shows in the state. And a huge shout-out to our volunteers who worked registration, staging, judging, trophy presentations, and logistical support -- they do so much behind the scenes to make an event of this size a success.

Finally, let's not forget our biggest supporter and partner, the City of Clawson and all of the City staff. Without the help of the Mayor, City Council, Police, Fire, Public Works and supporting departments, we couldn't shut down one of the major arteries in our town from sun up to sun down the day of the Show and have everything back to normal without a trace the following day.
